Pyramid has launched a crowdfunder to help raise funds to protect it’s future programme.
For over 35 years, Pyramid has been supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to discover the arts and develop as artists. Growing from an art group that used to meet in the long since closed Meanwood Park Hospital, the organisation is led by artists with and without learning disabilities and autism, supporting nearly 60 learning disabled and autistic artists each year. Pyramid delivers over 1,500 hours of creative workshops while contributing to leading research on inclusive arts.
Despite the significance of this work, Pyramid finds itself at a crossroads as it faces funding cuts, rising costs and an increasingly challenging fundraising environment. The new Crowdfunder, Protect Pyramid’s Future, aims to raise £20,000 by 1 September to strengthen our long-term sustainability. Donations will help protect our weekly art groups, flexible studio time, and individual artist support, while helping the organisation develop a new line of products for retail that showcases their members artwork to a wider audience.
