An A-Z of Herbs and Spices

An A-Z of Herbs and Spices (That You’ve Probably Never Heard Of) is a recipe book charting obscure flavours from around the world.  Each page features a new flavour with a recipe, tasting notes and curious facts and figures.

The book was written by James Mills and Matthew Bellwood, with recipes collected from a wide range of sources (details are included).  In addition, James worked with sound artist James Mabbett to produce an original soundscape, with each flavour represented by a different sound.  A link to this audio is included in the book.

Pyramid Poems Volume 1

On Thursday evenings in early 2020 the Next Step Pyramid group met to create poetry, guided by Tom Bailey and Pamela Crowe.

The group explored concrete poetry, cut-up poetry, magnetic fridge poetry, visual poetry, acrostics, alliteration, onomatopeia, performance poetry and were introduced to Dadaist and Fluxus ideas. These explorations culminated in the creation of a series of poems, some of which the group performed at the Carriageworks as part of Leeds Lit Fest in March 2020.

This volume brings to print a selection of 24 poems made during those weeks. Some pieces are by individuals, others were created as a group.

A5 paperback, 46 pages.
